We redefine what an earplug should sound, look and feel like. Whether it’s hearing protection or comfort for your ears, Loop enables you to live life at your volume. Our founders Maarten and Dimitri started Loop back with a big idea. And a chronic ringing in their ears. Since then, we’ve helped more than 3,500,000 customers around the world to find quiet, enjoy great experiences and keep unwanted noise at bay.
In 2023 we grew from almost 100 Loopers to over 250 people. And that’s a number we would have to keep updating every month, as we are planning to double the team once again, this year.
Our headquarters are based in Antwerp, but with hubs in Amsterdam, Shanghai, and New York, we’re dotted all over the globe.
Not to brag about it, but we’ve recently won the EY Scale up of the year award, the Deloitte Fast50 award (for the second year in a row) and a couple of other amazing (international) prices. The New York Times named us ‘best earplugs for concerts’ and thousands of noise-sensitive customers call us a ‘life changer’.

Join Loop and drive innovation in the heart of manufacturing
Located in China close to Shenzhen or Dongguan, as a Supplier Development Engineer you will be Loop’s key player in ensuring our cutting-edge products meet the highest quality and production standards. This is your opportunity to be part of a fast-growing company, working directly on the frontlines with our suppliers across Asia. At Loop, we give you the freedom to challenge the status quo, take ownership of your projects, and be part of a team that values continuous improvement. With rapid product launches, your role will be essential in turning ideas into reality at scale.
Ensuring top-quality production
In this role, you’ll lead the charge in conducting initial assessments of new suppliers, ensuring that their processes align with Loop’s standards. As a key member of the Operations team, you’ll be present at builds and NPIs, solving real-time issues, and collaborating with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes. Working closely with the team in Europe, you’ll act as the bridge between Loop’s product design and on-the-ground manufacturing in Asia.
Your other responsibilities:
- Oversee project management and on-site improvements during new and ongoing builds.
- Serve as the go-to contact during product builds, providing on-site support for design and process adjustments.
- Ensure suppliers fully understand design expectations, preventing miscommunication and underperformance.

- Constantly look for improvement opportunities to drive cost savings and quality optimization.
- Collaborate with the European Operations team to ensure that design requirements are clearly communicated and implemented with suppliers.
How you’ll succeed as a Supplier Development Engineer
Your ability to lead and problem-solve in fast-paced environments will be critical to your success. Working closely with both suppliers and the European teams, you’ll need to build strong relationships and ensure clear communication across cultural and language barriers. You will also play a vital role in identifying and solving issues before they impact production, all while driving continuous improvement on the ground.
These key competences will set you up for success:
- Fluent in English, with experience in manufacturing process engineering and supplier management.
- Familiar with key engineering technologies like SMT, injection molding, pneumatics, and automation.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and quality improvement methods (FMEA, DMAIC, Kaizen).

- Background in mechanics or electronics production and assembly.
- We're open for candidates who are based in China and who can work as a full-time freelancer.

What We Do
Our story began when Loop's founders, Maarten and Dimitri, had a common problem: ringing ears after a night out. They discovered that they were not alone, as 1 in 4 adults suffer from hearing damage. But why weren't they wearing earplugs? This question sparked the inception of Loop.
At Loop, we are dedicated to revolutionizing the way earplugs look, feel, and sound. Whether you need hearing protection or simply want to ensure comfort for your ears, Loop allows you to live life at your own volume.
Based in Antwerp with offices in Amsterdam, New York, and Shanghai, we are a rapidly growing team of over 250 people. .
