We are hiring for a Supervisor at our Guildford Save-On-Foods location in Surrey, BC.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, and the successful applicant must have open availability.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the store team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource while fostering a positive team environment focused on Always Customer First service.  
  • Supporting the management team in achieving operational excellence through customer experience, health and safety, food safety, merchandising, and front end operations. 
  • Providing support across departments as needed to maintain service and operational standards. 
  • Supporting with team member related initiatives as requested.  
  • Communicating key messages to the store team to ensure alignment with business objectives.  
  • Reviewing business/HR metrics and dashboards to monitor store performance.  
  • Assisting the management team with implementing strategies to grow sales and customer loyalty.   
  • Supporting with centre of store inventory as well as department stocktaking as required.  
  • Performing all job duties throughout the store as needed, including lifting weight (up to 50 lbs), standing for long periods of time, and working in hot/cold environments.    

You have:

  • 2-4 years of retail experience.  
  • Leadership experience is an asset. 
  • Food Safe Certification. 
  • A post-secondary education in a business related field is an asset. 
  • Experience and/or knowledge with:
    • Achieving sales targets and profitability.  
    • Financial planning and budgeting. 
    • Developing and executing merchandising plans.  
    • Human Resources (e.g. recruitment, training, development and coaching). 
    • Employee Relations and knowledge of the collective agreement (if applicable).
    • Scheduling. 
  • Proficiency with computer applications.
