The Role

Summary: The Supervisor, Quality Assurance and Testing defines, implements and leads quality assurance processes, testing methodologies and supporting tools.  The Supervisor is an advocate to product and delivery teams within company regarding these practices. Contributes to the development of high-quality systems and products by ensuring adoption of standards, best practices, processes and procedures at every phase of the software development lifecycle for developing and delivering software to our customer. 

 Key Responsibilities: “To simplify complexities for each customer.”

  1. Participate with key Healthesystems leadership to develop and implement new quality initiatives, solutions and tools that contribute to competitive and productivity improvements, incident reduction and best practices.
  2. Support internal customer goals and enterprise view through identification and evaluation of priorities and actions necessary for launch, implementation and operation of IT solutions and related IT delivery services.
  3. Manages and allocates resources (people, technology, and time) in order to assign specific tasks to various team members. Sets deadlines, and ensures that they are met. Provides regular updates to program and product management on project and defect status and progress. 
  4. Sets Quality Assurance guidelines and procedures and collaborates with all areas of technology and other Healthesystems teams to ensure adherence to SDLC standards and Quality Assurance processes.
  5. Collaborate with various stakeholders and lead critical triages to identify root cause.
  6. Ensure that staff is following the Software Development Lifecycle and Quality Assurance best practices to ensure quality delivery of the software products in a timely manner to meet production dates and goals.  Responsible for fostering accountability within the department to ensure appropriate level of service.


Leadership/Supervisory Responsibilities:  

Directly supervises 8-10 employees.  Performs supervisory responsibilities by managing and allocating employee resources in accordance with company policies, applicable laws and company initiatives/goals.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work (including scheduling); appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.   Acts as a change agent and develops a high-performing team in the spirit of exceptional service to all internal and external partners.

Qualifications/Education/Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Prior supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.  Excellent interpersonal communication and strong presentation skills are required.  Application development experience as an individual contributor is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proven experience with being a team member within an agile culture, including working with delivery, product, and portfolio level teams.  Must have strong communication skills; including the ability to gather and communicate metrics across the organization.  Prior hands-on software testing experience is required.  High propensity to lead and mentor others is required. Experience with Application Development, Agile, Lean, DevOps methodologies, Automated Testing and SQL are strongly preferred.  Knowledge of Test Automation Tools including, Browserstack, Appium, Selenium etc. required.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographical cost of labor, etc.  In addition to base pay, Healthesystems offers a comprehensive benefits package including, health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, wellness resources, recognition programs, 401k contribution, and PTO & Holiday pay (all subject to eligibility requirements). Anticipated Starting Pay Range

$101,000$139,040 USD

To facilitate working from home, and as a requirement for this role, candidates must provide their own reliable, high speed internet access with sufficient bandwidth to execute all job functions. Company laptop will be provided.
