To support this mission, we are seeking a Catalog Database Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of the Catalog Database team and ensure the accurate, timely creation and maintenance of data that supports MBS Direct’s course materials business. This role provides direct supervision to team members, manages workloads and priorities, and oversees database activities across print, digital, and other course content. The Supervisor partners closely with internal teams to maintain data integrity, resolve operational issues, and ensure requests are completed efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with established business processes and requirements.
How You'll Make an Impact- Supervise the day-to-day activities of Catalog Database employees, including assigning and prioritizing work, monitoring workload and completion, and providing ongoing guidance and support.
- Train and support team members, reinforce established procedures and quality expectations, and provide ongoing feedback to promote consistent and accurate execution.
- Oversee title-add requests and routine database maintenance, ensuring work is completed accurately and within established timelines.
- Review database maintenance reports, identify discrepancies or incomplete information, and coordinate necessary corrections and follow-up.
- Manage daily work priorities and adjust assignments as needed based on request volumes, deadlines, and business needs.
- Serve as a resource for team members on database processes, procedures, and operational issues, escalating more complex matters when appropriate.
- Partner with other departments to coordinate database-related activities, resolve issues, and support projects impacting Catalog Database operations.
- Maintain adherence to established database procedures, guidelines, and quality standards.
- Support employee performance through regular feedback, coaching, and clear communication of expectations.
- Additional responsibilities as required.
- Previous supervisory, team leadership, or related experience, preferably within an operational or data-focused environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate and reliable information.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound judgment, including the ability to identify issues and determine when escalation is appropriate.
- Ability to provide clear direction, guidance, and feedback to employees.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with employees, supervisors, managers, and cross-functional partners.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of MBS systems, processes, or course materials operations preferred.
- Demonstrated reliability and ability to consistently meet the scheduling requirements of the position.

The hiring range for this position is $43,000 - $48,000. This range represents the base salary only, in good faith at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
