General Description: The US Forecasting & Analytics team within the Hematology Business Unit is seeking a highly motivated intern to support data-driven strategic initiatives for in-line and pipeline hematology products. The intern will assist in developing business forecasts, market assessments, and performance analytics that inform cross-functional decision-making. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to commercial forecasting, data modeling, and business insights in a fast-paced, innovative biopharmaceutical setting.
This internship is ideal for individuals passionate about turning data into meaningful insights that impact patient outcomes and business success.
Essential Functions of the Internship:
- • Assist in the development and refinement of product forecasts using historical data, analogs, and assumptions
- • Support the design and execution of scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and competitive landscape modeling
- • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, and Global Insights
- • Conduct secondary data analysis (e.g., claims, prescription data) and contribute to the synthesis of key business insights
- • Translate quantitative analyses into clear, compelling recommendations for internal stakeholders
- • Participate in regular forecast reviews and business planning sessions
- • Support ad-hoc analytics and executive reporting as needed
- • (Preferred) Prior exposure to forecasting models or pharmaceutical market research techniques
- • (Preferred) Familiarity with epidemiology, hematologic conditions, or oncology therapeutic areas
Computer Skills:
- • Excel (advanced)
- • PowerPoint (strong presentation skills)
- • SQL (basic querying preferred)
- • Python / R (preferred but not required)
- • Forecasting tools or BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, SAS, or similar) – a plus
Qualifications:
