Summer Internship: Quality Control Intern, Microbiology (Onsite - Hopewell, NJ)

Education Required: Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in bioengineering, biotechnology, or sciences (e.g., chemistry, biology, biochemistry, microbiology)

General Description: Qualification of Quality Control laboratory equipment in accordance with FDA and EU regulations.

Assist with Environmental Monitoring (EM) program. Distribution of EM settle plates and assist with EM utilities sampling program.

General duties within the Microbiology lab, such record keeping, cleaning of equipment, sample preparation and basic testing.

Essential Functions of the job:

• Participate in the qualification of analytical instruments in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare equipment qualification documents, including equipment datasheets and user requirement specifications (URS). 
• Prepare work instructions for operation & maintenance of laboratory equipment and other procedures, as needed.
• Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and data integrity standards, including 21 CFR Part 11.
• Develop and maintain organizational tools for managing projects and schedules.
• Schedule calibration, qualification, and validation of laboratory equipment by qualified external service providers, as needed.
• Undertake any other duties as required.

Salary Range: $ - $ per hour

Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
