Summer Internship: BI and Reporting Intern (Remote)

Note: To be considered for our 2025 Summer Internship program you must be enrolled in a university degree program and cannot be graduating sooner than December 2025.

Education Required: Student must be enrolled in an accredited Masters or PhD Program.

General Description/Scope of Responsibilities (Internship): The GOBA Data and Analytics Internship offers hands-on experience in data visualization, data quality checks, and reporting using SQL, Alteryx and Dataiku. Interns will support the creation of data analytics layers, implement data quality monitoring within pipelines, and collaborate with stakeholders to understand key metrics. A structured learning curriculum will provide exposure to pharma commercial data and its real-world applications.

Essential Functions of the Internship:

• Develop and Enhance Data Quality Checks
  Design, implement, and maintain data quality monitoring (DQM) logic using SQL, Alteryx or Dataiku to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Support Data Visualization and Reporting
  Assist in creating and refining data visualizations and reports to support business insights and decision-making.
• Build and Maintain Data Analytics Layers
  Help structure and optimize the analytics layer that feeds dashboards and reports, enabling scalable and reliable data access.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
  Work closely with stakeholders to understand business metrics and translate them into technical requirements for reporting and data validation.
• Document Business Rules and Logic
  Assist in reviewing and updating documentation for data pipelines, reporting metrics, and DQM processes.
• Participate in Learning and Development Activities Engage in a structured learning curriculum focused on pharma commercial data and its applications in analytics.

Experience And Skills:  

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency with Alteryx, Dataiku, or similar data preparation and workflow tools
• Solid understanding of SQL with hands-on experience using relational databases such as Redshift and/or PostgreSQL
• 2–4 years of industry experience preferred; experience in pharma or biotech consulting is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and effectively in team environments
• Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative development processes
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline best practices

Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
