The Contact Center's Risk Strategy, Planning, Analytics, Reporting, and Communications (SPARC) Team is seeking a creative, curious, and thoughtful Data Storytelling & Visual Communications Intern to help transform complex information into clear, engaging, and actionable experiences. This role is ideal for students interested in visual communication, data storytelling, information design, executive communications, user experience, strategic messaging, and emerging technology.
As an intern, you will work alongside analysts and business leaders to translate data and business information into compelling visual stories, improve how insights are presented, and contribute to initiatives that help leaders understand information and take informed action.
About Our Team
The SPARC Team enables leadership decision-making through data, insights, governance, strategic planning, and effective communication. Our work spans reporting and dashboard development, workflow design, data governance, strategic planning, maturity assessments, risk intelligence, and executive communications. We partner closely with leaders to transform risk information into action and help drive continuous improvement across the organization.
Your Role
As a Data Storytelling & Visual Communications Intern, you will help organize, simplify, and visualize information that supports business decision-making. You will learn how audience needs, information design, storytelling, and communication come together to make complex insights clear, useful, and actionable.
The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2027 and ending in August 2027. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.

Responsibilities
Translate complex data and business information into clear visual stories
Support the design and refinement of dashboards, presentations, and communication materials
Organize information to improve clarity, usability, and audience understanding
Develop graphics, diagrams, templates, and other visual communication products
Assist with executive messaging and strategic storytelling
Participate in project meetings and collaborative problem solving
Conduct research and benchmarking on visualization, information design, and user experience
Present recommendations and project outcomes to leadership
Interest in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), and curiosity about how they can enhance business processes, analytics, communication, or decision-making.
Demonstrated ability or willingness to learn and experiment with AI-enabled tools to improve research, analysis, content development, problem solving, or productivity.
Pursuing a degree in Communications, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Data Visualization, Information Design, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, User Experience Design, Business, or a related field
Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills
Interest in data storytelling, information design, or executive communications
Ability to organize and simplify complex information
Creativity supported by critical thinking and attention to detail
Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn
Desired Qualifications
Experience with PowerPoint, Power BI, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, or similar tools
