- Assist with design reviews and problem-solving on rail vehicle subsystems, ensuring design integrity and functionality.
- Provide support for the inspection and field testing of rail rolling stock at client locations, both nationally and internationally.
- Perform information take-offs from engineering drawings and assist with drawing interpretation for various projects.
- Prepare technical studies and assist with small AutoCAD projects, contributing to the design and development process.
- Develop spreadsheets and databases using MS Excel and Access, and analyze test data to support engineering decisions.
- Prepare reports for project and design review meetings, which may take place at client locations.
- Assist in the development, revision, and interpretation of systems specifications for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to complete assigned tasks effectively.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field at an ABET-accredited University or NCEES equivalent.
- Experience using AutoCAD.
- Strong working knowledge of various State and local entities specifications and preferences.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Mathcad, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office suite.
Compensation Range:
