Job Description
Virtus ETF Solutions (VES) is seeking an undergraduate, rising senior summer intern to join our team as an ETF Analyst. The intern will support the firm's suite of non-traditional income ETFs, encompassing aspects traditionally associated with investment product specialist, research, and marketing functions. This role will be based in our NYC office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor markets and fund performance of the Virtus ETF product suite.
- Support ETF operations, including oversight of key vendors.
- Analyze primary and secondary market trading to manage the quality of the ETF markets and trading valuations.
- Assist in the development of new, ETF-specific applications of artificial intelligence.
- Build reporting automation for tracking errors, trade analysis and compliance.
- Prepare client reports regarding macro events, trade ideas, product, etc. for internal and external distribution.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Current undergraduate student with a BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Engineering.
- Rising senior with a strong interest in ETFs.
- Strong Excel skills (VBA or advanced Excel Modeling), PowerPoint and Word software packages.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate the investment approach and strategy.
- Team oriented with a passion for investments.
The hourly pay rate is $25.00 per hour.
