JOB SUMMARY
The Enterprise Data Architect is accountable for data architecture, integration, design, development, implementation to deliver modern business intelligence, analytics and data warehousing solutions for the enterprise. This role will also ensure the optimal and scalable solutions are implemented and provide guidance and direction on data conversion, data migration, data quality and data load performance. The Enterprise Data Architect works with customers in assisting with, gathering, reviewing and interpretation of business and technical requirements and understanding use case targets. This role trains and helps less experienced developers & analysts, and is a leader in helping methodologies and processes, as well as streamlining development (focus on reusable code) for faster delivery to end customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
- Develops strategic data architecture for enterprise data warehouses used for analytics and healthcare use cases.
- Develops database and data solutions by designing data architectures, including business architecture definition, data storage, data analytics, data transformation, and data access
- Provides delivery leadership in the design, deployment and data conversion of complex data solutions, including data validation, UAT and Data Quality practices
- Accountable for validation of the data quality and integration of all data architecture components, and capture of necessary data architecture metrics for benchmarking and trending to help quality of processes and related artifacts.
- Examines detailed end user specifications which includes architecting, designing and developing solutions to accommodate business requirements.
- Accountable for creation and communication of data architecture, data integration, profiling standards and best practices
- Assists developers and analysts in the design and profiling, provides training and learning opportunities.
- Establishes and participates in data management processes including data lineage, data profiling, data quality management and governance.
- Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
- Must have at least 10 years of experience in Data Integration using integration tools like DBT and ADF
- Must have 2+ years of experience working with Snowflake, preferably in Azure cloud
- Must have at least 10 years of experience in database development using SQL
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in architecture and design of Enterprise Data Warehouse environments.
- Must have CI/CD experience
- Must have experience coding in Python
- Must possess excellent documentation and communication skills
- 2+ year's Healthcare experience is preferred.
- Knowledge and expertise of all aspects of database tuning, data access, data manipulation, SQL, and physical storage.
- Experience with development and execution of database security policies, procedures and auditing-experience with database authentication methods, authorization methods, and data encryption techniques.
- Experience helping technology strategy / roadmap.
- Performs code reviews and Design and develop test plans for unit testing.
SCHEDULE: Hybrid - Mostly remote but may need to come into the Dallas office from time-to-time
