- Edit and rewrite copy, and check grammar, style and factual accuracy prior to publication.
- Create search engine optimised headlines and optimise articles for readability and search ability.
- Edit and rewrite copy for the Style by SCMP website, the Post’s flagship luxury and lifestyle title.
- Responsible for correct grammar, spelling, house style and tone of the published work.
- Ensure that all copy is factually correct and that it suits the target market.
- Ensuring online copy and headlines are search engine optimisation friendly, identifying relevant keywords using tools such as Google Trends, AI or other platforms.
- Write and edit social media captions, source editorial materials, curate metadata.
- Be prepared to work across other titles and projects handled by the Special Reports team, including glossy magazines, pull-outs and broadsheet articles.
- A background in journalism and/or media.
- A demonstrable track record of writing and/or editing professionally in English.
- A team player with a can-do attitude and agility in the workplace.
- A digital native who consumes media digitally and on the go.
- Experience in lifestyle, luxury or entertainment journalism would be preferable.
