Overview 

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Striker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, be a quick learner, and capable of politely interacting with customers. They will assist a truck driver with loading and unloading materials safely, navigating tight driving situations, providing support during deliveries, and acting as a second set of hands on job sites in the greater Charleston, SC area.

Responsibilities

  • Loading and Unloading:

The primary responsibility is to help load and unload material safely from the truck, which might involve physically lifting, pushing, or securing items depending on the type of goods being transported.

Products can consist of deliveries and/or returns of windows, doors, trim, lumber, and other types of building materials.

  • Maneuvering Assistance:

They might guide the driver when backing up or navigating tight areas due to their better visibility from the side of the truck.

  • Customer Service:

In some cases, a striker may interact with customers on delivery sites, explaining details about the shipment or verifying delivery information.

Strikers should understand our customer-respect business mentality and can help serve as a voice and face of our company to our customers on a daily basis. They are an integral part to reinforcing our reputation for exceptional customer service.

  • Safety Checks:

They might perform basic safety checks on the cargo and truck before and after deliveries.

Requirements

  • Must obey all OSHA policies and procedures
  • Must be able to pass drug tests and background checks
  • Must be able to work from 5 am - until job is done (typically between 5 am-5 pm Mon-Fri)
  • Product knowledge is a plus but not required

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands: Manual loading and unloading up to 80+ lbs. consistently

Environment and Physical Working Conditions: Passenger seat and outside in weather conditions
