The Role

The ideal candidate wants to be a top tier operator. You'll work directly with the CEO across every function: engineering, customer success, sales, operations, and finance. You'll own problems that don't have an owner yet, and you'll build the systems that let the company grow without the CEO in every decision. This is a hands-on role, and you'll build the analysis yourself.

In your first year, you'll likely:

• Own the operating cadence: weekly leadership meetings, quarterly planning, board preparation, and company-level goals, with clear owners and metrics.

• Build and maintain the company's financial and operating model with finance, and turn it into decisions on hiring, pricing, spend, and runway.

• Run two or three high-priority strategic projects at a time, such as entering a new customer segment, redesigning pricing, or standing up a new function before it has a leader.

• Prepare board and investor materials, and support fundraising diligence when the time comes.

• Partner with sales and customer success leadership on pipeline, retention, and expansion analysis.

• Drive the hiring plan with the leadership team, from headcount decisions to closing key candidates.

• Serve as the CEO's thought partner, handling what needs to happen and making sure the right things reach the CEO's desk.

About You

• 6–9 years of experience, including time in investment banking, management consulting, or private equity, and at least two years in an operating role at a venture-backed startup.

• You've seen what breaks as a company grows, ideally at a Series A or later company.

• Strong analytical skills. You can build a model from scratch, pressure-test someone else's, and explain what it means in one paragraph.

• You write clearly and briefly. Your memos lead with the answer.

• You move between strategy and execution in the same afternoon, and you finish what you start.

• You're comfortable with ambiguity and with being accountable for outcomes you don't fully control.

• Good judgment about what to escalate, what to decide, and what to leave alone.

Nice to have: experience in legal tech, vertical SaaS, or selling to professional services firms. Familiarity with healthcare or medical records.

What Success Looks Like

• At 60 days: you've learned the business, taken ownership of the operating cadence, and delivered at least one strategic project.

• At one year: the leadership team runs on shared metrics and plans, the CEO's time is concentrated on the highest-leverage work, and you've taken on a meaningful piece of the business directly.
