About the Role



IC Markets is evolving its global trading infrastructure across pricing, execution, risk intelligence, and data systems. The Trading team is strengthening its strategic operations capability to support this transformation.

We are hiring a Strategy Operations Analyst - a high-impact, cross-functional role that supports delivery across Trading Operations, Risk, Product, Data, and Quants.

You will help drive initiatives that:

  • Improve pricing & execution quality
  • Enhance risk control and client profiling
  • Strengthen operational workflows across regions
  • Build data-driven reporting and intelligence for decision-making
  • Improve governance, transparency, and coordination across the department

What You’ll Do



Execution & Project Coordination

  • Coordinate work between Trading Ops, Risk, Product, Quants, and Engineering teams.
  • Track milestones, dependencies, and delivery progress through Jira.
  • Drive structure, accountability, and disciplined follow-ups across teams.
  • Maintain clean, centralized documentation of workflows, decisions, and delivery status.
  • Support weekly progress reviews with leadership, surfacing risks and blockers early.

 

Operational Intelligence & Process Control

  • Assess end-to-end workflows to uncover inefficiencies, inconsistencies, or control gaps.
  • Support standardization of operational practices across hubs.
  • Document internal policies, governance frameworks, and operating procedures.
  • Help ensure audit readiness through clear, traceable documentation and version control.

 

Risk Monitoring & Data Insight

  • Analyse data to identify anomalies, behavioural patterns, or operational risks.
  • Work with Risk and Quant teams to improve monitoring and early-warning indicators.
  • Help design dashboards that visualise risk, performance, and operational health.
  • Provide insights that support more informed execution, routing, and risk decisions.

 

Reporting & Leadership Support

  • Produce clear reporting on:
    • Department KPIs and delivery health
    • Operational performance and process compliance
    • Capacity, workflow bottlenecks, and team utilisation
  • Build structured insights using Excel, SQL (optional), or BI tools.
  • Help leadership prioritise, plan, and allocate resources effectively.


Academic & Technical Background

A degree in one of the following is preferred:

  • Engineering
  • Mathematics
  • Computer Science
  • Statistics
  • Physics
  • or a related quantitative/technical discipline

Skills & Experience

  • 1–4 years experience in operations, strategy, business analysis, PMO, trading support, or similar functions.
  • Strong Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or other BI tools is a plus.
  • Confident using Jira, Confluence, and structured delivery frameworks.
  • Ability to digest complex information and communicate it clearly.
  • Methodical, organised, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
