Consultant Strategy3
Ipsos Strategy3, a leading brand, marketing, and innovation consultancy, is seeking a driven, self-motivated Consultant to join our team of entrepreneurial thinkers who are looking to change the marketing landscape for our clients.
Our Consultants are valuable contributors to the development of strategic deliverables for client engagement, and specifically they:
- own content and manage project details, with some degree of independence (work will be supervised by Senior Consultant / Engagement Manager or above)
- present a portion / most of the work to client, under senior supervision
Other typical assignments include:
- helping prepare for and assisting in executive interviews
- conducting primary and secondary research; analysing data (consumer research data; panel data; retail data etc.)
- crafting compelling storylines
- helping to run client workshops
Our team works for a vast array of clients, spanning different industries (FMCG, energy and banking/insurance), , plus a number of energy and banking/insurance clients.
Typical engagements include developing brand strategies, segmenting customer audiences, understanding consumer journeys, envisioning future growth pathways, and guiding innovation strategy. As a Consultant, you will get the unique opportunity to work on multiple projects at a time directly with clients; one day you could be naming a new car brand and the next, reimagining the candy bar of the future.
We are in the business of storytelling, and our work lies at the intersection of creativity and strategy; alongside our creative problem-solving approach to business questions, we ground ourselves in analytical facts and data to extract insights that deliver results. Our work transforms organizations, so your day to day will encompass all the necessary steps, big and small, to satisfy our clients. From Day 1, you will be encouraged to share your point of view and bring your ideas to life.
We value our team’s ability to build relationships both internally within Ipsos and broadly with our clients. As part of our client-facing team, you will have the opportunity to work and collaborate directly with our Partners, Engagement Managers, and Consultants to ensure that our ideas inspire both our clients and the marketing community. Our team is made up of innovative thinkers who come from backgrounds as diverse as brand management, marketing, consulting, trend hunting, finance, market research, data science, and startups. This broad array of backgrounds ensures our project teams come together with creative ideas to guide our clients in bringing new brands, products and services to market.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, uniquely blended with creative skills, to bear on our client’s problems: someone who is as comfortable working in Excel as they are binge watching the latest popular series and making a convincing case for why their favorite season is indeed the best. Our approach to solving problems requires that level of fluidity, comprehensiveness, confidence, and executive presence.
Qualifications include:
- Undergraduate degree
- 2-3 years of professional experience: preferably in branding/marketing, management consulting, brand management, or market research, although the specific field is less important than what you’ve accomplished in it
- Proven project management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects
- Ease and confidence with “thinking on your feet” and crafting compelling, digestible stories
- Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills
- Openness and eagerness to learn, be mentored and – one day – mentoring more junior team members
- Love of, and nose for, brands, marketing, and innovation
- Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills (in writing, in presentation style, and in impactful visual communication)
In addition to those qualifications, one of the key things we have in common is the ability to tie together disparate pieces of information (from social media, from census data, from keen observation) into a compelling story, and tell it in a way that is engaging and memorable. Oh, and being able to laugh at yourself will take you far with us.
