WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst serves as a critical link between Merchandising, Product Development, and Global Sourcing & Manufacturing, translating product and business strategies into actionable sourcing plans. This role reports to the Director, Global Footwear Sourcing and partners closely with Merchandising, Development, Costing, Operations, our Liaison Office and manufacturing partners across the Converse footwear ecosystem. The role does not have direct reports but influences decision-making across multiple cross-functional teams and external partners.

This individual thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and can effectively balance competing priorities while influencing decisions across multiple functions.

The successful candidate brings knowledge of footwear product creation, sourcing strategy, supplier capabilities, and manufacturing operations. They are comfortable working directly with senior leadership, factory partners, and cross-functional teammates to guide sourcing decisions and align long-term plans. They possess a good understanding of product development processes and are able to translate complex business needs into clear sourcing strategies and actionable plans.

This role requires a proactive leader who can identify risks and opportunities early, communicate effectively with diverse audiences, and drive alignment across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, Product Creation, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
  • 2+ years of experience in sourcing, manufacturing, supply chain, product creation, merchandising, or related functions.
  • Strong understanding of footwear manufacturing, factory capabilities, supplier management, and product development processes.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience with strategic planning, scenario modeling, and business analytics.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will help shape Converse's long-range sourcing strategy by connecting product creation plans with manufacturing capabilities and strategic partner priorities. Working across Merchandising, Development, and Sourcing teams, you will help translate future business needs into sourcing plans that support product innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Director of Global Footwear Sourcing to develop, maintain, and communicate the long-range sourcing strategy for Converse footwear.
  • Lead long-range planning communications with strategic manufacturing partners and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment on future business opportunities, risks, and capabilities.
  • Serve as the primary sourcing representative within Merchandising and Product Development teams, providing early visibility to future product needs, innovation requirements, and seasonal business plans.
  • Act as the sourcing capability expert, evaluating manufacturing partner strengths and limitations and recommending sourcing decisions that align product requirements with factory capabilities.
  • Partner with Product Development teams to understand factory capability and performance assessments, helping guide development allocation and strategic partner decisions.
  • Own and manage the Sourcing Gameplan Calendar, ensuring sourcing priorities, key milestones, and business needs are aligned with the broader product creation calendar.
  • Develop strategic insights, sourcing scenarios, and decision-making tools that enable leadership to assess capacity, capability, risk, and growth opportunities across the sourcing network.
