Why FMH
Every day, someone receives a life-changing diagnosis. Getting the right medication should be straightforward - but too often it isn’t.

Specialty medications move through a complex network of providers, health plans, pharmacies, and manufacturers. Administrative delays, disconnected systems, and limited visibility can slow treatment when time matters most.

Free Market Health exists to make that process work better.

Our technology connects stakeholders across the specialty pharmacy ecosystem, helping prescriptions reach the right pharmacy while improving visibility, reducing friction, and keeping treatment moving forward for the patients who depend on them. We focus on the most important stakeholder of all: the patient.

Your impact

Free Market Health is seeking a Strategic Pricing Manager to translate pricing strategy into effective operational processes supporting rate strategy across the Free Market Health platform. This role connects pharmacy and PBM rate sources, pricing changes, and platform financial performance to help ensure pricing decisions are implemented accurately and consistently.
The Strategic Pricing Manager will lead the day-to-day execution of specialty pharmacy pricing and configuration activities, including maintaining rate configurations, implementing pricing decisions, evaluating market-driven changes, and modeling the financial impact of pharmacy benefit rates for client programs valued in the millions of dollars. This internally focused position will partner with leaders across Program Architecture and Configuration, Sales, Analytics, and Pharmacy Relations.

What You’ll Do

Pricing and Rate Management
  • Own the day-to-day maintenance, documentation, and execution of rate decisions across payer programs.
  • Perform regular audits of pricing configurations to identify discrepancies, outdated rates, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Model and track the financial impact of proposed pricing updates.
  • Establish scalable processes and operational standards that support the continued development of the pricing function.
  • Partner with Sales to maintain accurate client rates.
Pricing Research and Analysis
  • Translate new rate sources and pricing strategies into accurate rate configurations.
  • Analyze the interaction between pricing methodologies, including Wholesale Acquisition Cost (WAC), Average Wholesale Price (AWP), and National Average Drug Acquisition Cost (NADAC), and rate-source updates.
  • Evaluate and implement rate updates related to generic launches, biosimilars, newly introduced drugs, and other specialty pharmacy market events.
  • Apply strong financial and pricing-modeling capabilities to evaluate the impact of rate changes across client programs.
Process and Tool Improvement
  • Develop and document processes and procedures for collecting, reviewing, implementing, and maintaining rates and pricing information.
  • Monitor existing pricing tools and processes for effectiveness and recommend opportunities for technology-enabled improvement.
  • Evaluate reporting packages from the perspective of payer clients, PBM clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Analytics to recommend improvements to the content, impact, production, and presentation of pricing data and reporting.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, finance, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of pharmacy pricing experience, ideally within a pharmacy benefit manager or pharmacy business unit.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial or pricing modeling.
  • Experience analyzing pharmacy benefit rates using WAC, AWP, and NADAC methodologies.
  • A background in healthcare financial modeling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
