Job Profile Summary
The Strategic Operations Director - MedTech RDS partners directly with the Vice President and General Manager of MedTech RDS to drive strategic priorities, operational excellence, and organizational effectiveness across the business. The role serves as a trusted advisor and execution leader, ensuring alignment between business strategy, mergers and acquisitions activities, growth initiatives, and day-to-day operations.
Working closely with senior leadership, functional leaders, finance, business development, and corporate strategy teams, the Strategic Operations Director manages executive operating rhythms, oversees strategic initiatives, supports acquisition diligence and integration activities, and drives process improvements to accelerate business performance and shareholder value creation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
Strategy & Business Planning
- Facilitate development and execution of annual strategic plans and multi-year growth strategies.
- Coordinate strategic planning activities across functional and regional leadership teams.
- Monitor execution of strategic initiatives and ensure accountability against business objectives.
- Develop business cases and investment recommendations for new growth opportunities.
- Support portfolio optimization and allocation of resources toward strategic priorities.
Mergers & Acquisitions
- Support acquisition screening, evaluation, due diligence, and integration planning activities.
- Coordinate cross-functional diligence workstreams and executive decision forums.
- Develop acquisition, synergy, and integration tracking dashboards.
- Lead post-acquisition governance processes and integration management reviews.
- Identify and mitigate risks impacting acquisition value realization.
Executive Operating Reviews & Governance (Coordination with Business Operations)
- Monthly Business Reviews, Strategic Reviews, and Executive Operating Reviews.
- Consolidate KPIs, financial performance, pipeline metrics, operational indicators, and talent updates into executive-ready reports.
- Drive leadership team accountability for actions, decisions, and commitments.
- Develop executive presentations for senior leadership, Board reviews, and corporate stakeholders.
- Facilitate decision-making processes and leadership governance forums.
Process Improvement & Transformation
- Lead business process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, scalability, and organizational effectiveness.
- Establish operating mechanisms and governance models that improve execution discipline.
- Drive cross-functional transformation initiatives and change management activities.
- Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and simplification of business processes.
Executive Communications & Stakeholder Management
- Develop executive communications, business updates, town hall presentations, and leadership messaging.
- Coordinate leadership meetings, strategic offsites, and executive workshops.
- Prepare briefing documents and talking points for executive engagements.
- Serve as a liaison between leadership and key internal and external stakeholders.
Performance Management & Analytics
- Develop executive dashboards and business performance reporting capabilities.
- Analyze market trends, operational performance, and growth opportunities to inform leadership decisions.
- Track strategic initiative progress, risks, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
- Provide data-driven insights supporting business growth and operational improvement.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Experience
Typically requires 10–15 years of experience in strategy, business operations, consulting, corporate development, M&A, chief of staff, or related leadership roles.
Knowledge
- Deep understanding of strategic planning, business operations, and executive governance.
- Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, integration management, and transformation initiatives.
- Strong financial and business acumen with demonstrated ability to develop executive-level recommendations.
- Experience working with senior executives and leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- MBA or advanced business degree preferred.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $108,100.00 - $300,800.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.Skills Required
