The Job At-A-Glance :
As the Strategic HR Business Partner, your focus will be on transformational activities that accelerate Q2's business outcomes and long-term success through our people processes. Your goals will be on the identification, development and implementation of strategies that enable greater business results and long-term HR success. You will act as the People Team liaison between your executive(s) and the greater HR Team (Benefits, Compensation, L&D, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, etc.) to ensure alignment of business objectives to organizational and employee development and experiences, as well as human resources policies. You may also find yourself in the role of facilitator for talent management and succession planning activity with the client organization. Participation in company-wide programs and initiatives such as Objectives & Key Results, salary review, equity granting, development and workforce planning, you will be a progressive champion for organizational change. Your ability to show up each day as a trusted coach, engaged partner, influential advisor, skilled facilitator and presenter, excellent communicator, proponent of process development, and analytical problem solver will be critical to your success.
A Typical Day :

  • Collaborate with senior and executive leadership to develop and implement human resources policies and procedures that support business objectives.
  • Recognize and leverage opportunities that build morale and increase productivity and retention. Thoughtfully challenge the status quo to disrupt stagnation and create better outcomes.
  • Assist senior and executive leadership in the creation of solutions through organizational development and cultural and process-oriented perspectives.
  • Coach and mentor senior and executive leadership to improve their skills and abilities.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support the development of effective human resources policies and procedures.
  • Continuously monitor the effectiveness of human resources programs and initiatives and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Partner with other key HR functions accelerating and promoting collaboration and alignment in business outcomes.
  • Works closely with HR Business Partners to ensure consistent application of processes, policies, and procedures across and within all client groups.


Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here's What We're Looking For :

  • Bachelor's degree with 12-15 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 8 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with proven ability to recognize, develop and implement opportunities that further align HR practices to business strategy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proactively addresses issues with the potential to impact program success, future concepts, and outcomes.
  • Ability to navigate situations and devise solutions with limited information using sound judgement.
  • Future focused and mindful of long-term vision, with the ability to implement solutions based on impacts to strategic business goals and objectives.
  • Recognizes and is cognizant of the implications and impact that change in one area may have across and within multiple functions.
