As a Control Manager Vice President in our Control Management team you will act as a trusted partner and advisor to your business area. Functionally, our key focus areas include: Risk Identification & Assessment, Control Design & Evaluation, Issue Management, Control Committee Governance & Reporting. Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the business teams, getting first-hand insight into challenges faced by the business as they design and build products that will support our innovation strategy
  • Lead the development of creative and innovative solutions to manage risks, ensuring that controls are properly designed and operating effectively
  • Act as independent advisor and thought leader, collaborating effectively with our support partners to achieve a strong control framework
  • Evaluate and perform ongoing analysis of the business' operational risk and control environment to identify significant gaps and weaknesses, determine root cause of control deficiencies and implement appropriate controls
  • Provide support to ongoing business-related control programs and strategies (e.g., New Business Initiatives, change management, metrics development and reporting, control evaluation, issue management)
  • Provide control committee governance support, including development of committee materials, minutes, and committee reporting.


Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills; solid critical thinking in technical scenarios
  • Ability to synthesize information and formulate creative and innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Attention to detail and strong time management, project management and collaboration skills to drive initiatives forward
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner
  • Able to work effectively in agile environments, adaptable to shifting priorities and delivering value whilst dealing with high degrees of uncertainty and continuous change
  • Strong stakeholder management skills - you are someone who is collaborative and can build meaningful professional relationships
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.


Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Experience in financial services industry with background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance preferred
