As the Strategic Growth Lead, you will lead the planning, execution, and performance governance of growth and productivity projects across all PPG SBUs in Latin America, ensuring seamless agreement on corporate strategy. Reporting directly to the President of PPG Latam and based in Mexico City or San Juan del Río, Qro., you will act as a pivotal bridge connecting with our diverse regional business units, global teams, and the Latam Executive Leadership. In this high-impact role, you will identify and develop key expansion opportunities including product scaling, entry into new markets, and regional M&A activity while driving market and economic intelligence, optimizing margin initiatives and serving as the primary Corporate Strategy liaison to PPG's Executive Operating Committee.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the annual and ongoing strategic planning process and Regional Business Reviews (RBR) across Latin America, validating critical country-level inputs to ensure data accuracy and global corporate agreement.
Partner with a diversity of Strategic Teams (SBUs) to develop organic growth strategies and Big Bets, using detailed market intelligence, competitor analysis, and customer insights to shape commercial roadmaps.
Drive the end-to-end M&A lifecycle across Latin America by identifying acquisition targets, assessing potential candidates, managing the opportunity pipeline, and supporting overall execution to accelerate our regional growth.
Act as liaison between LATAM business units and global finance and strategy diverse teams, coordinating the submission and presentation of high-level proposals and business cases.
Establish centralized competencies and standardized planning frameworks to lead consistency, analytical rigor, and high-quality outputs across all countries in the region.
Define and execute strategies to boost our productivity, reduce operational complexity, and drive margin expansion across all regional businesses.
Help implement high-priority business improvement, market expansion, and SBU-specific growth projects across Latin American markets.
Build dynamic dashboards and review frameworks to monitor performance metrics across diverse countries and departments, maintaining monthly progress reports for executive leadership.
Deliver regular strategic updates and performance reporting to the Latin America Leadership Team, Corporate Strategy, and the Executive Operating Committee.
Maintain collaborative relationships with regional business leaders, participating in LATAM planning forums to drive alignment around core growth goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in International Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; MBA is desirable.
6+ years of experience in strategic growth, financial analysis, or business intelligence within Fortune 500 companies, complex matrix organizations, or manufacturing industries by proving track record of conceptualizing, establishing, and executing corporate growth strategies and standardized planning processes across multiple markets.
Business and financial knowledge, with the ability to summarize complex financial statements, industry benchmark reports, and competitive analyses into applicable executive insights.
Advanced project management capabilities and allocate resources within a regional, cross-cultural, and multi-SBU corporate environment.
Experience building cross-functional relationships and managing executive stakeholders across regional and global levels.
Full professional proficiency in English
