The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, discreet, highly organised, and comfortable operating at the intersection of the boardroom, the business units, and the external market.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Executive Office Support & Administration Team Leadership

  • Lead and manage the Admin Executive supporting the CEO's Office, ensuring the quality, consistency, and timeliness of all administrative support.
  • Oversee the CEO's calendar, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements managed by the Admin Executive, stepping in personally for complex, sensitive, or urgent matters requiring sound judgment.
  • Review and quality-assure key correspondence, presentations, reports, and documentation before they are submitted to the CEO.

  • Coordinate Board, Management Committee, and executive meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and tracking of action items to completion.
  • Act as a trusted liaison between the CEO, senior leadership, subsidiaries, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and timely follow-through.
  • Coach and develop the Admin Executive by providing guidance, setting priorities, and fostering continuous improvement within the CEO's Office.

2. Strategic & Corporate Growth Support

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis on the solar/renewable energy industry, EPCC sector trends, and Malaysia's evolving renewable energy policy landscape, and summarise implications for the CEO.
  • Support the CEO in developing and refining strategic plans, business cases, and growth proposals (e.g. new market segments, energy storage, EV infrastructure, or regional expansion).
  • Assist in the evaluation of new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential collaborations, including coordinating inputs from Business Development, Finance, and Engineering teams.
  • Track execution of key strategic initiatives and corporate KPIs across departments, flagging risks and delays to the CEO on a timely basis.
  • Prepare board papers, investor materials, and management presentations, synthesising inputs from multiple departments into clear, decision-ready formats.
  • Monitor industry news, competitor activity, and regulatory developments relevant to the solar EPCC and broader renewable energy sector, providing concise briefings.

3. Stakeholder & Communication Support

  • Draft talking points, briefing notes, and speeches for the CEO's engagements with the Board, investors, government agencies, industry bodies, and the media.
  • Support the CEO's preparation for investor relations activities, analyst briefings, and public/industry events.
  • Represent the CEO's office in cross-functional coordination meetings, ensuring alignment on priorities and deliverables.
  • Help maintain and strengthen relationships with key external stakeholders, including partners, regulators, and industry associations.

Requirements

  • High level of discretion, professional judgement, and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information.
  • Polished interpersonal and stakeholder management skills across all levels, from front-line staff to Board members and external partners.
