Role & Responsibilities:
Build and maintain Soum’s annual operating budget and rolling 13-week cash flow forecast, updated weekly.
KPI Ownership & ReportingOwn KPI dashboards covering GMV, take rate, contribution margin, CAC, and payback period.
Publish weekly metrics with clear commentary.
Budgeting & Spend ManagementConduct monthly spend reviews across departments.
Identify budget variances and provide root-cause analysis.
Strategic Finance & ModelingModel unit economics for new initiatives, pricing, and expansion opportunities.
Use AI tools for scenario analysis and present recommendations to the CFO.
Investor & Board ReportingPrepare investor updates, board materials, and management presentations.
Maintain fundraising models with scenario and sensitivity analysis.
Support financing data room preparation.
Operational Finance & LeadershipRespond to ad hoc finance requests from the CFO and board.
Manage the Finance Analyst for reporting and dashboard maintenance.
Improve efficiency by reducing manual reporting through automation and tools.
Requirements:
Strong financial modeling and forecasting capabilities.
Experience building dashboards and analyzing business KPIs.
Strong understanding of startup finance, budgeting, cash flow management, and operational metrics.
Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment.
Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently.
Experience using automation, AI tools, or workflow optimization solutions is highly preferred.
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Consulting, or startup finance.
Strong background in financial planning, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
Startup, marketplace, fintech, or e-commerce experience is preferred.
