About This Job
This role is focused on strategic finance within a high-growth startup environment. The Strategic Finance Analyst will partner with key business leaders to evaluate opportunities, model growth scenarios, and drive data-driven decision-making. By collaborating across teams, you'll help shape Dutchie's financial strategy, uncover efficiencies, and support key initiatives that align with our long-term vision.
What You'll Do...
Analysis, Financial Modeling & Reporting:
- Conduct data-driven analyses to support strategic business decisions, such as budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather accurate data and enhance financial reporting and decision-making processes.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate investments, partnerships, and new business opportunities.
- Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to inform leadership on risks and opportunities.
Business Performance Optimization:
- Partner with cross-functional teams to assess unit economics and profitability by product, customer segment, and geography.
- Lead pricing analysis and assess ROI for new product launches, marketing campaigns, and other growth strategies.
Market & Competitive Insights:
- Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes to identify potential risks and growth opportunities.
- Develop actionable insights to guide strategic initiatives across the organization.
Investor & Executive Collaboration:
- Prepare high-quality materials for the executive team, board meetings, and investors, synthesizing data into compelling narratives.
- Support fundraising or M&A efforts, including due diligence and financial evaluation of potential targets.
Key Metrics & Strategy Reporting:
- Define and analyze strategic KPIs, ensuring leadership has clear visibility into business performance and market trends.
- Partner with leadership to inform resource allocation and long-term strategy adjustments.
What you'll bring...
- 2–4 years in investment banking, venture capital, or consulting, ideally with at least 1+ year in a strategic finance role at a high-growth tech company.
- SaaS or fintech industry experience is highly preferred.
- Expert-level financial modeling, scenario planning, and quantitative analysis.
- Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to assess challenges and identify innovative solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Boston, MA/Northeast location preferred
You'll Get…
We are targeting a starting salary of $100,000 - $120,000 based on the intended level for this role. There may be flexibility on individual compensation packages based candidate skill set, experience, qualifications and other position-related factors.
In addition to cash compensation, our total rewards package includes:
