About the role 🤓

Finance at SeQura has evolved to building the infrastructure that powers forward-looking, insight-driven decisions. We are looking for builders, not classic FP&A profiles: people who have worked hands-on with AI tools, structured real databases, understand the business deeply, and get energy from turning messy manual processes into clean, automated ones. If you are excited by the idea of building an AI-first finance data platform for forecasting, planning, reporting, and decision-making, this role is for you.

What challenges you'll be solving 🚀

• Build the financial data backbone of SeQura. Help design, build, and maintain the single source of financial truth across P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and unit economics; the data layer that everything else relies on.

• Build tools, not reports. Use AI (Claude), automation, and our data stack to create the models, pipelines, and tools that replace manual work and make insight available in real time.

• Proactively find and kill inefficiency. Proactively hunt down slow, manual, or fragile processes and re-engineer them. Own the problem end to end from spotting it to shipping the fix that sticks.

• Partner with the business. Work as a true finance partner through budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, scenario planning, but with the goal of building the systems that make this faster and sharper every cycle.

• Move to continuous, driver-based planning. Help shift to rolling, driver-based forecasts and dynamic scenario analysis, powered by the infrastructure you build.

• Turn data into decisions. Prepare Board-, leadership-, and investor-ready materials that turn complex data into clear recommendations and build the tooling that makes producing them near-automatic.

• Raise the bar on the stack. Drive adoption of our finance and analytics tools (AI, Abacum, BI, automation, anomaly detection) to improve scalability, reduce manual work, and increase trust in analytics. Proactively identifying opportunities to automate before being asked to do so.

• Help build a real-time decision engine. Contribute to a Strategic Finance function that runs on ownership, automation, and analytical rigor, not manual reporting.

What you’ll need 🤝 

• Genuinely curious and relentless; someone who actively questions existing processes, experiments with new tools (including AI), and has a track record of finding better ways to do things without being asked. We're not looking for someone who waits for permission to improve.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or a similarly analytical role in a high-growth fintech, SaaS, lending, or other complex environment.

• Proven ability to build and run driver-based financial models across P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and unit economics.

• Strong bias for action, with the ability to turn ambiguity into clear structure, decisions, and adopted solutions.

• Systems thinker with strong analytical rigor and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear business insight.

• Active use of AI tools in day-to-day work, not just awareness, but genuine integration into how you work. Someone who has already replaced manual tasks with automation and who keeps looking for the next one.

• Strong Excel and financial systems skills; experience with NetSuite, Abacum, and Embat is a plus.

• Fluent in English; Spanish is a strong plus.
