Position Overview:

The Strategic Communications, Senior role for Freddie Mac’s Enterprise Risk division is responsible for driving change through development, marketing, and execution of an integrated communication strategy that aligns with Enterprise Risk’s priorities. This position will strategically partner with other members of the Enterprise Risk Learning & Development Team, Division Leadership and Corporate Communications across the enterprise to ensure our communications and marketing efforts are fresh and innovative, using the right channels to support the modern way in which people engage in and consume information.  This role reports to the Director of Enterprise Risk Learning & Development.

Our team is responsible for nurturing enterprise-wide risk talent with a focus on developing risk skills and capacity, driving engagement and collaboration and supporting the delivery of Enterprise Risk’s strategic priorities. Our success will be achieved by providing a more holistic and strategic view of learning and development, engagement, change management and communications across the enterprise. 

Your Impact:
  • Partner with the CRO to strategically develop, support and execute the CRO’s communication and personal brand strategy.
  • Partner with division leadership to strategically develop, support and execute the divisional communication and brand strategy for Enterprise Risk, including divisional and enterprise campaigns in key areas such as risk learning and talent development, performance management and engagement.
  • Develop and execute communication plans for small-to-medium internal division communications campaigns.
  • Gather content from internal subject matter experts to develop and execute standing divisional communications such as monthly newsletters and all staff calls.
  • Actively engage in our division specific employee portal to ensure content is easily accessible, relevant and updated regularly.
  • Serve as communications partner to our working groups and councils.
  • Provide writing and research support as needed for key projects to help tell the Enterprise Risk story.
  • Manage the branding and marketing of strategic initiatives for the division.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or other relevant subject or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Proven work experiences developing and executing communication strategies
  • Superb writing, editing and proofreading skills, attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Web, social media, SharePoint and content management and publishing technologies
  • Graphic design and presentation skills and experience are a plus

Freddie Mac offers a comprehensive total rewards package to include competitive compensation and market-leading benefit programs. Information on these benefit programs is available on our Careers site.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $97,000 - $145,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
