The Washington Post is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to drive exceptional client relationships and ensure the seamless execution of custom advertising solutions. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, overseeing the development, implementation, and optimization of high-impact marketing campaigns across digital, print, social, and mobile platforms.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver innovative, data-driven advertising programs that meet—and exceed—client objectives.

Lead the development, execution, and optimization of multi-platform advertising campaigns
Develop a deep understanding of clients’ industries, business priorities, and competitive landscapes
Provide ongoing post-sale support, including performance insights, strategic recommendations, and campaign troubleshooting
Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards across all campaign components
Advocate for client needs internally while balancing feasibility, efficiency, and The Washington Post’s strategic priorities
Partner with Sales, Ad Operations, Product, Design, Content, and Social Strategy to deliver high-performance campaigns
Analyze and interpret campaign data to optimize performance and inform strategic recommendations
Deliver post-campaign reporting with insights, outcomes, and opportunities for continued partnership
Identify renewal, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities across The Washington Post portfolio
Support process improvements and best practices across account and project management
Troubleshoot technical and campaign-related issues related to bidding, pacing, targeting, pricing, and optimization
Collaborate directly with DSP and SSP partners when needed to resolve issues and enhance performance
3+ years in account management, client services, media planning, or advertising project management
Strong understanding of advertising, marketing, and media ecosystem trends
Proven success executing large-scale campaigns, including budgets of $1M+
Experience navigating renewals, upsells, and contract discussions
Excellent communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior-level stakeholders
Ability to manage complex projects both independently and collaboratively
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and business productivity tools
Experience with CRM, project management, and ad-serving platforms (Salesforce, Asana, Jira, Prisma, MediaOcean, etc.)
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred

The salary range for this position is:
$85,100 - $127,700 AnnualThe actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. This position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive program, and a member of the Talent Acquisition team will discuss bonus payment terms and conditions during the interview process.
