At Better Life Partners, we provide what it takes to heal from addiction. Wherever. Whenever.

We work alongside community-based organizations to meet our members where they are, no matter what recovery looks like to them. By combining virtual and in-person counseling, community support, and access to life-saving medication, we help people move beyond addiction to find belonging, love, and purpose.

If you’re looking to roll up your sleeves and meet hard challenges head-on, then we’re looking for you.

The role:
The Strategic Account Manager plays a key role in strengthening Better Life Partners’ relationships with established community, payer, and employer partners. This role ensures the continued success and growth of these partnerships by managing day-to-day partner engagement, identifying opportunities for collaboration and expansion, and ensuring a consistently exceptional experience for both our partners and the members we serve.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, relationship-driven, has strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and is comfortable working across internal teams to translate strategic goals into actionable outcomes that improve access, care coordination, and member growth.

Unless otherwise specified, this position is remote (work from home). Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Connecticut.

What you will do:

  • Partner Relationship Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of strategic partners, including community organizations, payers, and employer groups
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships that foster collaboration and mutual success
  • Ensure partners experience exceptional service and responsiveness, addressing questions and resolving challenges quickly and effectively
  • Growth & Performance:
  • Collaborate with internal growth and health teams to identify opportunities to expand services or membership within existing partnerships
  • Monitor and analyze partnership performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Develop and execute partner-specific growth strategies in alignment with organizational goals
  • Strategic Collaboration:
  • Work cross-functionally with Market Operation teammates, Health, and Growth teams to ensure seamless partner onboarding and sustained engagement
  • Participate in regular partner check-ins, performance reviews, and joint strategic planning meetings
  • Translate partner feedback into actionable insights that inform service delivery and market strategy
  • Communication & Reporting:
  • Prepare clear, data-informed updates and presentations for internal leadership and other stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records of partnership activities, outcomes, and opportunities using Salesforce and reporting tools

You are a good fit if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in account management, partnerships, growth or business development within healthcare, behavioral health, or managed care settings
  • Proven success managing relationships with healthcare payers, community organizations, or employer groups
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with an analytical and data-driven mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
  • Comfort using Google Workspace and Salesforce.
  • Ability to travel occasionally in the New England area

It will also be great if you have:

  • Experience in value-based care or population health management
  • Experience in behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment landscapes

Work location requirements:

  • BLP operates in hybrid and remote work environments, which allows us to better meet our members and partners where they’re located. Candidates applying for this role must be willing and able to travel locally within the communities we serve and/or travel to onsite meetings as expected in coordination with their department and business needs.

When working from home, the requirements include:

  • Must have reliable internet service with a fast upload/download ability
  • Ability to ensure any protected health or proprietary data/information is not visible (or audible)  to others in any work location
  • Must have a quiet space to speak to members, team members, or external partners with minimal background noise and distractions

In addition to a competitive compensation package, we’re offering the chance to be the change you wish to see in your community. Help us work toward a future where everyone can have a healthy life filled with belonging, love, and purpose.

We’re a recovery-friendly workplace that values family life, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
