ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Wind River is seeking a talented, ambitious, and self-motivated Strategic Account Manager to drive enterprise market growth in Korea. This role will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and expanding Wind River’s presence with WRCP and eLxr, with a focus on enterprise infrastructure, cloud modernization, VMware replacement, and Linux platform adoption.
The ideal candidate brings strong enterprise sales and business development experience, with the ability to create market demand, build direct relationships with end customers, and leverage local partners to develop and close new business opportunities.
INTERFACE & COLLABORATION
- Report directly to the regional head
- Work cross-functionally with FAEs/SAs, Marketing, Product Management, Professional Services, and Global Partner Enablement teams to develop enterprise opportunities and partner-led business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Korea sales strategy for WRCP and eLxr, with a focus on enterprise market growth.
- Identify and develop new enterprise opportunities, with a focus on VMware replacement, cloud modernization, and Linux platform adoption.
- Build strong relationships with end customers and senior decision-makers, creating demand and developing opportunities from initial engagement through deal closure.
- Develop and manage a local partner ecosystem, including distributors, resellers, SIs, and technology partners, to expand market reach and accelerate pipeline generation.
- Develop joint go-to-market strategies with key partners, including target account mapping, demand generation, and partner-led opportunity development.
- Drive strategic account planning and expand Wind River’s footprint within target enterprise accounts.
- Work closely with FAE, Product Management, Marketing, Professional Services, and global teams to develop customer solutions and close complex opportunities.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast, while providing market, competitive, and customer insights to Korea and APJ leadership.
ABOUT YOU
Core Competencies & Demonstrated Success
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise software or infrastructure technology sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Proven experience in enterprise direct sales, demand creation, and new-logo acquisition.
- Enterprise infrastructure sales experience with companies such as VMware, Red Hat, Nutanix, SUSE, HPE, or similar technology providers is highly desirable.
- Experience selling solutions across virtualization, cloud infrastructure, Linux, or related technologies.
- Proven experience working with resellers, distributors, SIs, MSPs, or technology partners to generate and close business.
- Ability to build strong relationships with both end customers and channel partners, and develop opportunities through the ecosystem.
- Strong consultative selling, account planning, negotiation, and complex deal management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in Korean and English, with confidence engaging with senior executives.
- Self-driven and entrepreneurial, with the ability to create new opportunities and build a market with limited existing structure.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to leverage cross-functional and global resources.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Willingness to travel within Korea and occasionally internationally.
