The Strategic Account Manager III is a senior commercial leader responsible for delivering above-market growth within Charter Casting’s most strategically important, complex, and highest-value OEM accounts. This role leads strategic execution across key customer relationships, driving long-range account positioning and delivering significant revenue growth, margin expansion, major platform wins, and strategic portfolio influence aligned with both annual and 5-year initiatives.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business, Marketing, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8 years of outside sales experience in metals or manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated success managing large, complex OEM accounts
- Proven success in winning large, complex, multi-year programs
- Advanced financial acumen, including pricing strategy, margin optimization, and contract evaluation
- Executive-level communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Experience developing and executing comprehensive multi-year strategic account plans
Preferred experience
- Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or other related advanced degree
- Experience managing complex OEM relationships
- Experience negotiating long-term agreements and complex commercial contracts
- Advanced proficiency in Salesforce CRM and sales analytics tools
- Demonstrated experience influencing cross-functional business strategy
What you'll focus on
- Lead strategic account plans across Charter Casting’s most critical OEM relationships
- Own executive-level commercial relationships and long-term account positioning
- Identify and secure major platform wins, competitive displacement opportunities, and long-term commercial agreements
- Lead complex commercial negotiations involving pricing strategy, margin protection, and contract structure
- Influence portfolio strategy, business planning, and long-term growth priorities aligned with annual and multi-year initiatives
- Lead and align internal cross-functional teams to deliver strategic customer commitments
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to identify high-value growth opportunities
- Provide mentorship and commercial leadership to SAM I and SAM II roles to elevate selling capability across the organization
