•This is a sales-focused role responsible for identifying, developing, and closing expansion opportunities with existing customers, including new products and services, additional member populations, and expansion into new health plan markets.

•Own and achieve annual revenue expansion targets across assigned health plan accounts.

•Identify and close opportunities to introduce additional Vheda products and services to existing clients.

•Expand existing partnerships into additional health plan markets, geographies, and member populations.

•Develop and execute strategic account growth plans with clearly defined opportunities, revenue potential, timelines, and action plans.

•Build and maintain a qualified expansion pipeline to consistently achieve growth targets.

2.  Relationship Development & Commercial Engagement

•Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within assigned health plan accounts.

•Establish relationships across clinical, financial, quality, medical economics, and executive leadership teams.

•Identify emerging client priorities and align Vheda's capabilities with their business objectives.

•Develop executive-level presentations and business cases that demonstrate Vheda's clinical, financial, and quality value proposition.

•Proactively engage existing clients to identify new opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound requests.

3.  Sales Execution & Opportunity Management

•Lead expansion opportunities from initial discovery through solution development, proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.

•Coordinate with internal stakeholders to structure commercially viable solutions.

•Maintain accurate opportunity records, pipeline forecasts, and sales activities within the company's CRM.

•Overcome objections, navigate complex health plan decision-making processes, and drive opportunities toward closure.

•Partner with executive leadership on larger enterprise expansion opportunities.

4.  Cross-Functional Collaboration

•Work closely with Client Services to understand account performance, client satisfaction, and potential growth opportunities.

•Collaborate with Clinical, Product, Finance, and Marketing teams to develop proposals that address client needs.

•Leverage demonstrated program outcomes and ROI to strengthen expansion discussions.

•Support account planning and executive business reviews with a clear focus on identifying new commercial opportunities.

Required Qualifications

•5-7 years of relevant experience in strategic account management, account expansion sales, business development, or enterprise client growth.

•Demonstrated success in generating incremental revenue through upselling, cross-selling, or expanding existing client relationships.

•Experience selling B2B solutions or services, preferably in healthcare, digital health, health plan services, or healthcare technology.

•Experience working with Medicaid, Medicare, or managed care organizations strongly preferred.

•Ability to build relationships with senior executives and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder purchasing processes.

•Strong negotiation, consultative selling, analytical, and presentation skills.

•Experience developing account growth plans, managing sales pipelines, and achieving revenue targets.

•Proficiency with CRM platforms and disciplined sales forecasting.

•Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Performance Expectations

Success in this role will be measured by:

•Achievement of assigned annual expansion revenue targets.

•Growth in annual recurring revenue and contract value across assigned accounts.

•Number and value of new product, market, and population expansion opportunities successfully closed.

•Development and progression of a qualified account expansion pipeline.

•Consistent execution of strategic account growth plans and accurate sales forecasting.

The successful candidate will be a proactive commercial professional who sees an existing client relationship not as an account to maintain, but as an opportunity to deliver additional value and accelerate mutual growth.

Skills Required

  • Demonstrated success generating incremental revenue through upselling, cross-selling, or expanding existing client relationships
