This role is responsible for:
- Providing asset disposal support in line with ISO14001 – Environmental.
- Providing RPS field support with the supply of LV metering equipment along with traditional & SMART Gas/Electric assets and associated equipment
- Providing RPS field staff support with the supply & reordering of, PPE, clothing, tools & consumables.
- Stock management, stock control and monthly/annual stock taking.
- Liaise with external vendors/supplier for quotes and ordering new stock.
- Carry out review of tools and equipment annually to confirm these are still required and suitable for use by RPS Field engineers.
- Annual PAT testing and calibration of all handheld/test equipment used by field staff.
- Return 3rd party metering equipment as per UKMF guidance.
- Managing RPS evidence and disposal of unrequired evidence
- Management of high security sealing pliers
- Sealing plier test results and PSU (Portable support units) updates
- Compile ESQCR (Electricity Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulation) reports as per industry guidelines and also submit into HSE website.
What you’ll be doing

- Deliver excellent customer service and actively promote customer service standards within area of responsibility
- Meet regulatory standards to ensure the delivery of quality assets and service
- Comply with site and workplace audits internal and external
- Achieve performance targets as determined by your line manager to deliver business objectives.
What you’ll bring
- Knowledge of traditional & SMART metering types and functionality
- Experience of relevant industry meter certification
- Basic understanding of meter interference
- Asset bar-coding
- Asset disposal and DCC triage processes
- Ability to use own initiative and work to demand deadlines in an ever-changing environment.
- Understanding of COSHH regulations.
Minimum Criteria
- Experience of relevant industry meter certification
- Full driving license.
- Forklift Truck license.
- Industry regulations – MOCoP, UKMF, AMO & REC
