Job Summary:
This role combines hands-on technical expertise with contributions to long-term infrastructure strategy in a fast-moving semiconductor environment. As part of the global IT Engineering team, the Storage Systems Administrator manages and maintains the company’s global storage estate, including on-premises NetApp and Pure Storage arrays, AWS cloud storage services, and the Druva backup/DR platform. This net-new role supports approximately 2,100 users across 30+ sites in North America, EMEA, and APAC, including mainland China.
The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with storage arrays, storage protocols, and cloud storage services. Working closely with IT Infrastructure, Security, and Cloud teams, this role helps ensure data resilience, performance, and security for a growing global semiconductor company.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain NetApp (ONTAP) and Pure Storage arrays across multiple global sites provisioning, capacity planning, performance tuning, firmware/OS upgrades.(30%)
- Manage and monitor Druva backup jobs, retention policies, and restore operations; troubleshoot backup failures and validate recovery point/time objectives (20%)
- Support AWS storage services (FSx ONTAP, FSx Lustre, S3, EBS) used in multi-region EDA infrastructure, including SnapMirror-based replication from on-prem to cloud (20%)
- Participate in storage migrations, hardware refreshes, and datacenter/colocation transitions. (5%)
- Collaborate with systems, network and security teams on cross-functional issues (25%)
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Minimum of 3 years of storage architecture, deployment, administration, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, troubleshooting and production operations.
- Hands-on experience with NetApp and Pure storage arrays.
- Hands-on experience on server OSs (GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows)
- Deep understanding of storage protocols (NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, FC)
- Working knowledge with AWS storage services (S3, EBS, FSx).
Desired Qualifications:
- AWS certification (Architect)
- Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, KVM)
- Experience of deployments in AWS
- NetApp and Pure certifications would be a plus

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is USD $70,000 - $80,000. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in storage architecture, deployment, administration, performance monitoring and tuning, security hardening, troubleshooting, and production operations
- Hands-on experience with NetApp storage arrays
- Hands-on experience with Pure Storage arrays
- Hands-on experience with GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows server operating systems
- Deep understanding of NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel storage protocols
