We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Senior Storage & Data protection Administrator (L2+) with a deep understanding of enterprise-level storage solutions and technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing storage solutions. You will also be involved in overseeing storage administration, provisioning, troubleshooting, and ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our storage systems in collaboration with other storage L3/L2 team members. Integration with enterprise data protection tools and tasks associated with data protection are also part of your responsibilities.
As a Storage & Data Protection Administrator, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the data storage environment's availability, reliability, scalability, manageability, and data protection.
- Working with other key technical team members and business stakeholders to determine data, storage, and data protection requirements and creates solutions that meet those requirements while supporting the strategy across the entire system.
- Primarily responsible for planning, and implementing new storage infrastructure, and perform storage administration tasks like capacity planning, storage allocation, zoning, provisioning, troubleshooting, debugging, and data protection.
- Diagnosing and resolve complex configuration and bottleneck issues within a large complex infrastructure.
- Coordinating with external vendors as required. On existing storage procurement for any new deployment.
- Responsible for supporting critical incidents related to storage and data protection infrastructure and guiding Level 2 storage administrators through troubleshooting technical issues.
- Installing, configuration, and integration of storage devices with SAN and NAS functionality in an environment with Windows, VMware, and UNIX.
- Demonstrating knowledge of data protection tools and processes.
- Creating and maintain documentation as it relates to infrastructure systems, design, configuration, support, and processes.
- Providing recommendations to L2 engineers to improve the storage and data protection infrastructure (Veeam), and address/lead critical issues and analysis.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or another relevant discipline or equivalent in certifications, or 7 to 10 years of relevant experience with 3 years of L2+ background in managing enterprise-level storage environments.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
- Have demonstrated knowledge of implementing and managing NetApp and Pure storage systems, and solutions.
- Have basic experience with Cisco Nexus Series and Brocade series FC switches.
- Have in-depth knowledge of storage hardware and operating systems software.
- Have good analytical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to think logically through a problem.
- Have experience supporting medium to large scale enterprise storage environments.
- Have demonstrated expertise deploying and managing ISILON, Power Vault, and 3PAR storage devices.
- Have experience working with Veeam or other similar products.
- Have working experience with international organizations or clients.
- Have ability to work in critical scenarios.
- Have professional certifications.
