JOB DESCRIPTION 

Job Title:  Station Representative (CVG Station)

Department: Maintenance

Reports To:   Regional Outstation Maintenance Manager

Location:   Hebron, Kentucky

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  1. Responsible for Line Station procedures under the guidance of the Regional Line Maintenance Manager.  Must identify any changes that will enhance departmental process quality and submit them to the Regional Outstation Maintenance Manager.
  2. Responsible for the oversight of personnel/contract maintenance regarding accomplishing work packages and work orders assigned by Maintenance Control.
  3. Develop and maintain sound personnel and labor relations and employee safety awareness.
  4. Coordinate with required maintenance control to ensure completion of maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of company aircraft.
  5. Station Representatives will be required to sign for work accomplished and must be prepared to oversee other non-Kalitta individuals/contractors working on Kalitta aircraft at remote locations and to “buy-back” the work of these individuals if required.
  6. At sites where no other Kalitta support exists be prepared to conduct/oversee the overhaul, maintenance, and repair of airframe components, powerplants, aircraft communication equipment and associated components in accordance with Company manuals, manufacturer’s manuals, including policies, Procedures Bulletins and Orders to return the aircraft to service and continue the mission.
  7. Should no company agent be available the Station Representative working in conjunction with the flight crew must be prepared to act as the company agent and procure the support/equipment necessary to facilitate the repair/servicing of the aircraft as required.
  8. Additionally, the Station Representative must be fully capable of working with minimum supervision during the normal course of events.
  9. Ensure that tools and assigned equipment are cared for per Company policy and are readily available when needed.
  10. Coordinate and communicate with other Kalitta Air Departments and Regional Outstation Line Maintenance Manager.
  11. Ensure personnel are using current working copies of manuals respective to the job at hand.
  12. Liaise between any contract maintenance entity and other departments within Kalitta Air LLC.
  13. Perform any other duties assigned by the Regional Outstation Line Maintenance Manager.

 

NOTE: The Regional Outstation Maintenance Manager may delegate any assigned duties to any qualified assistant; however, such delegation does not relieve him of overall responsibility.


QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a valid A&P Certificate, experience working Heavy Transport Aircraft preferably 747-400, 767 and 777 aircraft, be able to use and understand wiring diagrams, maintenance manuals, troubleshooting manuals and parts manuals, have good computer skills and verbal communication skills as well. 


Have at least 3 year of experience maintaining the same category and class of airplanes operated by Kalitta Air

Must be appropriately certificated under 14 CFR Part 65

FAA Airframe & Power Plant Certificate

Individual must be organized and able to work with computers and programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds, to eye level.

  • Twist, turn with normal strength forces
  • Climb numerous flights of stairs
  • Work on ladders, lifts and in some case high elevations
  • Work in a squatted position
  • Work in all weather conditions

Skills Required

  • Valid A&P Certificate
