The State Coordinator plays a pivotal leadership role in driving the successful delivery of CanKids’ National Outreach Program (NOP) within the assigned state, operating under the Change for Childhood Cancer (CCC) framework. This position is central to advancing equitable access to care and support for children with cancer and their families by overseeing program implementation, managing strategic partnerships with government and healthcare institutions, leading a dedicated team, and ensuring rigorous monitoring and reporting. The State Coordinator ensures alignment with national goals, compliance with MoUs, and continuous expansion of services through effective resource mobilization, quality assurance, and capacity building. This role is instrumental in strengthening the program’s impact, sustainability, and visibility at the state level.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and ongoing monitoring of all state-level NOP activities in alignment with national strategies.
  • Implement annual operational plans and budgets, ensuring adherence to program targets and donor requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with state government departments, hospitals, and key stakeholders to secure approvals and foster collaboration.
  • Represent CanKids at state-level forums, consortium meetings, and official engagements.
  • Supervise and mentor project managers, social workers, and support staff, driving team performance and professional development.
  • Organize training sessions, conduct performance evaluations, and support career growth initiatives for team members.
  • Maintain accurate and timely program data through MIS platforms such as Salesforce, ensuring data integrity and real-time reporting.
  • Coordinate with the HQ RMEL team on research, evaluation studies, and impact assessments to inform program improvements.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive narrative and financial reports to senior management on schedule.
  • Identify and pursue local donor opportunities, corporate social responsibility (CSR) partnerships, and grant funding.
  • Mobilize community and corporate engagement for fundraising, volunteerism, and awareness campaigns.
  • Monitor service delivery standards across CHSUs and HAH facilities, ensuring high-quality patient support and welfare services.
  • Oversee daily operational logistics, including patient travel, treatment coordination, and access to essential care.

Requirements
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in program management, preferably within the health, nonprofit, or development sector.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing multi-stakeholder programs and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record in government relations, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development.
  • Strong expertise in project planning, budgeting, implementation, and financial oversight.
  • Proficient in using digital tools and MIS platforms such as Salesforce for data management and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi; regional language fluency is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Skills Required
