The big picture:
We are looking for an ambitious Statutory Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will support the financial department across various European countries and participate in audit processes and year-end closings.
Responsibilities:
- Manage/Review all STAT work in allocated portfolio
- Preparation of monthly tasks such as Flux analysis and Balance sheet recons
- Analyze the accounts on a monthly basis to identify unusual or irregular transactions and make recommendations to resolve them
- Provide guidance to other STAT accounting staff and assist with mentoring staff to meet all client deadlines
- Preparation of the year-end financial close activities, such as US to local GAAP reconciliations, Local GAAP financial statements and meet all related deadlines
- Key figure for quarterly and year-end audits and main contact with the auditors for the preparation of the PBC list
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting, tax and finance projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Good MS Office Skills
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Fluency in English (Written and Verbal)
- At least B2 level of German
- Good knowledge of Accounting principles
- 2-3 years experience working on accounting
- Ability to organize large amounts of data
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills with proactive, supportive and positive approach
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to travel in accordance with client and other job requirements
- SAP ERP knowledge is required
- SSC environment would be an asset

Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- German language proficiency at least B2 level
- Good knowledge of accounting principles
- 2–3 years of accounting experience
- Ability to organize large amounts of data
- Strong attention to detail
