Average Work Schedule: 

6 AM – 2:30 PM Monday - Friday with potential overtime after shift and/or Saturdays depending on business needs.

Job Summary:

Lucchese Bootmaker is recognized for producing the highest quality cowboy boots in the industry. The Stamp Size Operator is responsible for accurately imprinting size and identification markings on boots using specialized stamping equipment. This role ensures that all markings are legible, correctly positioned, and meet Lucchese quality standards. The position supports production efficiency while maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality, and company policies.

 

Scope of Job

The Stamp Size Operator performs stamping operations using manual or semi-automatic marking equipment. This role requires strong visual acuity, attention to detail, and manual dexterity to ensure accurate size and product identification markings on finished boots. The operator is responsible for verifying stamp accuracy, maintaining equipment supplies (ribbons/foils), and ensuring quality control standards are consistently met in a production-driven manufacturing environment.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

All responsibilities may be modified based on company needs.

  • Operate marking or hot stamp equipment to imprint size and identification markings on boots.
  • Verify correct imprint set (numbers/letters) prior to stamping.
  • Inspect stamped markings to ensure legibility, accuracy, and proper placement.
  • Identify and correct illegible or incorrect stamp markings according to quality standards.
  • Change out hot stamp ribbons or foils as required.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area.
  • Perform general labor tasks as assigned.
  • Drive the highest level of customer quality and craftsmanship.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
  • Follow all safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Support and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

 

Quality & Production Expectations

  • Meet or exceed established daily production quotas.
  • Maintain high accuracy rate with minimal rework or defects.
  • Ensure 100% legibility and compliance with Lucchese branding standards.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or quality concerns immediately.
  • Demonstrate consistency in output while maintaining craftsmanship standards.

 

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Prior experience with marking equipment preferred.
  • Excellent visual ability to differentiate numbers and letters on imprint settings.
  • Ability to determine legible versus illegible stamp markings.
  • Strong manual dexterity for repetitive hand movements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Passion and desire for excellence by exceeding goals successfully and consistently.
  • Ability to perform all job functions in adherence to Lucchese philosophy, values, policies, and safety standards.

Education, Experience, and/or Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in boot manufacturing, leather goods production, or industrial marking environment preferred.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work either sitting or standing for 8 hours or more.
  • Ability to sit continuously for a minimum of an eight-hour shift (as required).
  • Frequent repetitive hand movements.
  • Ability to reach, bend, push, and pull.
  • Able to safely lift boxes up to 30 pounds.
  • Able to lift up to 5 pounds repetitively.

Skills Required

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience with marking equipment preferred
  • Prior experience in boot manufacturing, leather goods production, or industrial marking environment preferred
