JOB TITLE: Stage Designer
REPORTS TO: Set & Design Manager

We are Cornerstone, entering our fourth decade as a premier live event production company. We are the perfect home for an experienced Stage Designer willing to push boundaries, create inspiring showcases and envision immersive audience experiences.
At Cornerstone, you’ll be part of a collaborative team of visionaries and craftsmen focused on continually redefining the industry through innovative design and award-winning projects, encompassing major sporting events, concerts, festivals, and brand experiences.
ROLES & RESPONSIBIITIES
1. Collaborate with fellow Creative Team members, Producers, Technical Directors, and clients to design a set that is on point creatively, meets show objectives, and is on budget.
2. Envision and develop innovative and trend setting stage/set designs as assigned by the Set & Design Manager.
3. Communicate stage designs visually with 3D drawings and renders.
4. Consider venue parameters, sight lines, lighting, sound, special show requirements per client, etc.
5. Incorporate relevant branding and marketing into stage designs.
6. Manage time effectively and balance multiple projects. Keep manager and stakeholders updated on progress, seek and apply feedback as needed.
7. Positively contribute to brainstorming sessions or inquiries about possibilities.
8. Develop a thorough understanding of our inventory and rental capabilities to leverage as needed in your work.
9. Understand safety guidelines and restrictions that could impact your designs, and plan accordingly.
10. Stay current on new technologies, products, techniques, and trends.
REQUIREMENTS
1. 3+ years professional experience designing corporate, music, or theatre stages.
2. Portfolio of high-quality work and project samples, exhibiting a mastery of design concepts.
3. Working knowledge of the elements required to design a set. (Includes…lighting, video, scenic, rigging and staging.)
4. Proficiency in CAD software, Vectorworks preferred.
5. Strong experience with 3D rendering software, Cinema 4D preferred.
6. Must have ability to work efficiently within tight timelines, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver projects on time.
7. Excellent communication skills. Detailed oriented/organized.
8. Attend site visits and shows as assigned.
9. Not a remote position. Work is on site at company headquarters.
10. Must understand and speak English fluently.
