Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Systems Test Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating end-to-end product functionality, system integrations, and solution quality across software and hardware environments. You will leverage test automation, AI-assisted testing tools, and data-driven analysis techniques to improve product reliability, testing efficiency, and customer outcomes.
The ideal candidate is customer-centric, accountable, agile, collaborative, and innovative, with a passion for quality engineering and a strong foundation in software testing, automation, and systems validation within a technology organization serving the Utilities & Energy sector.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Understand end-to-end system and product functionality, architecture, workflows, and integrations.

  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and detailed test cases to validate system behavior and business requirements.

  • Execute manual and automated testing across functional, integration, regression, and system-level test scenarios.

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using modern automation frameworks and scripting languages.

  • Utilize AI-based testing tools to support test case generation, defect prediction, intelligent analysis, and test optimization.

  • Apply basic machine learning-driven insights to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and potential issues within logs, system behavior, and test results.

  • Analyze and document test outcomes with clear, actionable findings and recommendations.

  • Identify, log, track, and communicate defects while collaborating with developers and cross-functional teams on troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

  • Review, optimize, and maintain automated test suites, test procedures, and validation frameworks.

  • Work with test management, automation, debugging, monitoring, and logging tools to improve overall testing effectiveness.

  • Collaborate closely with development, product management, systems engineering, and customer-facing teams to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.

  • Participate in agile development activities including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support innovative approaches that improve validation efficiency, test coverage, quality metrics, and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

  • 2-5 years of experience in software testing, systems testing, quality engineering, automation, or a related field.

  • Good knowledge of Web Applications, Computer Systems, Networks, and Databases.

  • Programming skills in C# or another modern programming language.

  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP/OOPS) principles and design concepts.

  • Experience developing and maintaining test automation scripts and frameworks.

  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.

  • Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts.

  • Ability to utilize AI-assisted development, testing, and productivity tools.

  • Experience working with test management, debugging, logging, and defect-tracking tools.

  • Knowledge of system integration testing, regression testing, and end-to-end validation practices.

  • Familiarity with Utilities, Energy, Industrial IoT, or connected device ecosystems.

  • Experience using AI-enabled testing, analytics, or quality engineering tools.

  • Knowledge of performance testing, API testing, or security testing methodologies.

  • Experience analyzing large volumes of test data and generating actionable quality insights.

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and process improvement.

  • Experience collaborating with globally distributed engineering teams.

Work Model: This position follows a hybrid work model. Candidates should be based in or near Bangalore and are expected to attend the office whenever required to support team collaboration, testing activities, customer commitments, business priorities, and project needs.
