Staff Engineer – SW Systems Design Engineering

Position Overview
We are seeking a Staff Engineer in SW Systems Design Engineering to join Engineering Enablement group. In this high-impact role, you will define and lead the strategy for system-level modeling, virtual prototyping, and early customer enablement. You will also bridge the gap between SoC architecture, hardware design, and software teams, ensuring that our next-generation SoC models and prototypes are performance-optimized and ready for customer engagement well before silicon tape-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-fidelity virtual platforms that enable internal early SW development and demonstrate ADI capabilities and enable ADI customers in defining and developing their products using models for ADI SoCs.
- Develop AI skills, tools and environments that ease building and adoption of virtual prototypes for both internal teams and ADI customers
- Troubleshoot complex system-level issues, serving as the escalation point for pre-silicon customer feedback.
- Collaborate closely with ADI customers and internal product teams to create right virtual platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of industry experience in SoC design, architecture, or system-level modeling.
- Modeling Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in SystemC, TLM 2.0, C/C++ or equivalent high-level modeling, and virtual platforms
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level C++ programming skills, with experience in Python and scripting for modeling automation.
- Architecture Knowledge: Deep understanding of SoC architecture, including CPU subsystems (ARM/RISC-V), bus protocols (AMBA AXI/CHI), and memory hierarchies.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to drive technical decisions across cross-functional teams (Architecture, HW, SW, Product Marketing teams).
