We are looking for motivated individuals who have exposure to designing and implemented object oriented system software in an embedded system environment.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and testing mission critical software components deployed into Nokia's Optical pluggable devices. The position requires excellent object oriented design skills with expertise in C++ programming. A solid understanding of multi threaded operating systems, synchronization mechanisms and its usage in embedded environments is a must.

Your Key Responsibilities would include:
=> Design, Implement, Code and test software for Nokia’s next generation of Optical Engine used for Long Haul, Metro and Data Center Interconnects
=> Review, analyze and refine software requirements for various features
=> Propose and finalize on the design that can be converted to code
=> Develop and test code that meets the specifications
=> Understand updates and configurations of RTOS kernel (Ex: Linux) including interrupts, device drivers and memory
=> Review test plans and suggest test cases for the developed code
=> Debug and fix issues reported by the test team and customers
Your skills & experience
=> BS/MS in Computer Science/Electronics/Electical with experience in embedded software development
=> Minimum 8 years of experience in embedded systems design and development
=> Excellent object oriented design and programming skills in C++.
=> A deep understanding of multi threaded software systems and operating system concepts is required.
=> Knowledge of at least one scripting language. Python is preferred.
=> Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills are critical to this position
=> Experience with version control (Ex: GIT) and bug tracking systems (Ex: JIRA)
=> Well versed in object orient design philosophy and design patterns
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering
- At least 8 years of experience in embedded systems design and development
- Embedded software development experience
- Excellent object-oriented design and C++ programming skills
- Deep understanding of multithreaded software systems and operating system concepts
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language
- Python scripting experience
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Experience with bug-tracking systems such as JIRA
- Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and design patterns
