- Govern Procurement Processes: Drive the development of procurement tools, department policies, and performance programs (KPIs/SLAs) to monitor and improve the supply base
- Lead FOAK Risk Mitigation: Independently manage medium to significant levels of risk by identifying potential barriers in "first-of-a-kind" (FOAK) procurement and proactively developing novel solutions
- Lead Financial & Schedule Tracking: Conduct analysis on complex and ambiguous problems to identify patterns and causes for cost and schedule issues
- Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Influence and resolve conflict with cross-functional peers (both internally and externally) to achieve alignment on major technical and strategic decisions
- On-the-Ground Support: Provide critical presence in the Richmond, VA area to guide the ARC1 build and lead the adaptation to significant cross-functional changes

- Advanced Negotiation: Exceptional ability to negotiate internally and externally, using data and relationships to advocate for the company’s best path forward

What We Do
Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) has the fastest, lowest cost path to commercial fusion energy. CFS is collaborating with MIT to leverage decades of research combined with new groundbreaking high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnet technology. HTS magnets will enable compact fusion power plants that can be constructed faster and at lower cost. CFS is now building SPARC, the world's first commercially relevant, net energy fusion demonstration device. SPARC will pave the way for the first fusion power plant, ARC, that will produce power on the grid. The ultimate mission is to deploy fusion power plants to meet global decarbonization goals as fast as possible. CFS has assembled a team of leaders in tough tech, fusion science, and manufacturing with a track record of rapid execution. Supported by the world’s leading investors, CFS is uniquely positioned to deliver limitless, clean, fusion power to combat climate change.
