GoDaddy’s Domain Search Data team is seeking a versatile Staff Software Engineer to help us advance our Domain Search Data platform—a vital component driving GoDaddy’s customer growth, revenue, and innovation. In this pivotal, hands-on leadership role, you’ll collaborate with global teams including USI, DI, GDII, DnAI scientists, and FORGE, enhancing our domain search experience, architecture, analytics, and integrated product offerings across our 42 global markets.

What you'll get to do...

• Own and enhance feature store, MCP servers and other mission critical services
• Lead, mentor, and engineers across India, providing technical mentorship on architecture, design, and code reviews
• Develop and implement tactical plans, select appropriate technologies and frameworks, and build sprint backlogs and roadmaps in partnership with Product Managers, Program Managers, Architects, and leadership
• Champion engineering and operational excellence, focusing on automation, quality, and efficiency. Building, improving, and enhancing exceptional services that help our internal customers succeed
• Collaborate with global partners, ensuring the squad delivers high-quality code and solutions end-to-end
• Partner across GoDaddy globally to advance our Domain Search platform and develop add on products and advertising as our users search for a domain

Your experience should include...

• 10+ years software engineering experience, passionate about large-scale data platforms
• 5+ years of AWS tools and related cloud technology
• Shown success in building and shipping customer-facing and/or developer-facing products at Internet scale, with a focus on driving engineering roadmaps, experimentation, and revenue
• Strong technical skills, with experience tackling thorny data engineering issues
• Proficiency in writing clean, testable, and reliable code with CI/CD standard methodologies
• Expertise in Java, Python, Go, and proven knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software design, microservices, and cloud computing

You might also have...

• Experience building and leading distributed systems using cloud technologies
• Familiarity with search technology and search platforms
• Background in Agile development practices in a development environment
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
