Technical skills
We’re looking for an engineer with strong Full-Stack foundations. You might not tick every box, every time, but you bring depth in several of these areas and a willingness to learn the rest:
Front-end expertise: Hands-on expertise building and evolving complex front-end applications at scale using React / Next.js, with deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, component architectures, performance optimisation and accessibility standards. You bring strong architectural judgement to front-end design, state management, and cross-application patterns, and can guide teams in building consistent, maintainable UI foundations. Experience shaping front-end best practices, mentoring engineers, and elevating the quality of large customer-facing experiences is highly regarded.
Back-end development: Proven ability to architect, build and operate high-scale, secure services and APIs using .NET (C#/.NET Core), with experience in distributed system design, database modelling (SQL/NoSQL), event-driven patterns and integration at scale. You can define and evolve service boundaries, guide technical direction across squads, and drive improvements in performance, reliability, observability and security. Experience influencing cloud-native (preferably AWS) service patterns, microservices architectures and platform standardisation is highly valued.
Full-Stack delivery: Demonstrated capability delivering end-to-end solutions, integrating front-end and back-end components with strong engineering discipline. You bring deep expertise in CI/CD, test automation (unit, integration, E2E), DevSecOps, and infrastructure-as-code, and can establish patterns that uplift delivery quality and velocity. Experience coaching engineers, driving cross-squad design decisions, and embedding SRE and operability principles into full-stack delivery practices is highly regarded
Big Data: Demonstrated expertise building and operating high-throughput data pipelines on AWS (e.g. EMR, Glue, Flink/Kinesis), with a strong grasp of distributed systems fundamentals such as partitioning, back-pressure, fault tolerance and performance tuning. You can provide architectural direction, execute and advise on data modelling and governance, improve data engineering practices across squads and integrate scalable, secure data workflows.
