The Chief Technology Office (CTO) contribute to all aspects of the technology products and services we deliver, from technical strategy and design to coding to deployment to operation. We provide platform capabilities and tooling that is leveraged across all Business Unit Platforms within the Bank to deliver industry-leading software including: CommBank App, Netbank, CommSec, CommBiz and Commbank.com.au.

We are a high performing squad of ServiceNow DevOps Engineers who are responsible for building and maintaining of enterprise scale ServiceNow Platform serving multiple capabilities across the bank including ITSM/ITOM, IRM, SecOps, and Employee workflow modules. 

We are interested in hearing from people who have

• Pride themselves on their knowledge and experience in ServiceNow modules with a specialisation in ITSM and ITOM and Integrations

• Solid hands-on experienced in architecting, designing, developing and supporting enterprise scale ServiceNow implementations

• Pride themselves on translating requirements into technical designs, aligning with ServiceNow platform capabilities and best practices

• Are confident establishing controls for the technical team to align on standard processes and drive towards successful product releases

• Have solid hands-on experience in implementing CSDM, knowledgeable in Configuration management practices.

• Are knowledgeable in solution architecture, scalability, performance, and security aspects of ServiceNow Platform.

• Are confident in analysing a wide range of technical data within systems and processes including identifying improvements, migrating risks with design or solution proposals

• Are constantly liaising with stakeholders advising and influencing on tech strategy and design related the ServiceNow platform

• Have solids hands-on experience in ITIL framework, DevSecOps and SRE principles

• Pride themselves on their key role in mentoring and developing engineers advocating for best practice

Tech skills

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these, or a willing to learn these skillsets, (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;

• ServiceNow ITSM/ITOM and integrations implementations

• Core Platform micro-certifications Mobile, Performance Analytics, UI Builder, ATF, Integration Hub, Virtual Agent, NLU, Flow Designer, Service Portal, CSDM

• Certified Technical Architect

• SDLC, CI/CD pipeline, automation, testing, scripting, networking and related technologies  

• ITIL  Framework

• Cloud Environments AWS, Azure, Linux

• Web Technology XML, JavaScript, HTML, Web Services - REST/SOAP, AngularJS,

• ServiceNow Certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), ITSM Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) and CSM Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
