The Role

Join a small, high impact engineering team building the core Identity and Access Management platform that powers authentication, authorization, and security across our entire product surface. We design and operate the services behind login, service to service authentication, account protection, token management, SCIM provisioning, team management, OAuth integrations, and more. Our work sits on the critical path for every customer interaction, and we obsess over reliability, correctness, performance, and user trust.

In this role, you'll work on a team quickly moving towards AI native development and take end to end. You’ll collaborate daily with engineers, Product, and Security to ship secure, scalable, resilient capabilities that enable customers to manage access safely and flexibly. You’ll dive deep into hard technical problems, rapidly learn new domains, and raise the engineering bar through curiosity and strong technical judgment.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in high ownership environments, delivers results, and brings energy and craftsmanship to core platform engineering. If you love solving fundamental identity and security challenges at scale, you’ll feel right at home.

Our Vision of You:

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Deep technical foundation and strong problem solving skills including the ability to create software that’s reliable, scalable, and extensible.
  • Experience developing software end to end using AI tooling such as Claude, Cursor, Copilot, OpenCode, or something similar
  • Proven ability to learn fast, go deep, and take full ownership of complex systems.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a bias toward shipping, iteration, and measurable impact.
  • Humility, teamwork, and a drive for excellence.
  • Experience building backend or platform services in a production environment.
  • Familiar with continuous integration environments.

Your Daily Adventures:

  • Design, build, and operate services that power authentication, authorization, token management, and account security.
  • Own critical IAM functionality end to end from architecture and coding to rollout, observability, and long term reliability.
  • Partner with Product and Security to translate requirements into simple, robust technical solutions.
  • Improve service performance, scalability, and resilience across distributed systems.
  • Drive engineering excellence through thoughtful designs, clean implementations, and high quality operational practices.
  • Mentor teammates, influence cross company architecture, and contribute to a culture of curiosity, learning, and craftsmanship.

Bonus if you have:

  • Authentication, authorization, IAM protocols (OAuth, OIDC, SCIM), or account security.
  • Service protection, throttling, anti abuse systems, or large-scale distributed systems.
  • Core platform engineering, systems design, or reliability-critical services.
