As a Staff Frontend Software Engineer you will report directly to one of our engineering leaders and you will be responsible for building and improving our most important frontend workflows. You’ll be expected to operate with an extremely high degree of autonomy and be capable of improving critical workflows with limited oversight and lo-fi mocks from designers.
You will:
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Design leaders throughout the company
- Ship a high-quality improvement to a critical workflow roughly once/quarter
- e.g. customer onboarding, how customers triage findings, and how they interact with our AI capabilities
- Uplevel frontend excellence across the company
- Significant contributor to the long-term strategy of our component library. You’ve never worked somewhere where you didn’t leave the component library better than you found it.
- Meet frequently with designers to understand our largest UI/UX gaps
- Mentor less senior frontend engineers throughout the company
- Participate in customer research
You are ideal for this role if:
- 7+ years software engineering experience
- Very optimistic and an early adopter of using AI tools for frontend development
- Capable of determining a personal roadmap with high business impact
- React expert
- Comfortable making backend Python changes and running simple Postgres migrations
- Obsessive about UI/UX
- Comfortable operating as a junior designer
- Local to SF Bay Area or NYC (in office 2x/week) - Very nice to have, but not req’d
Salary Range: $ 202,000-238,000
Our compensation package includes equity and benefits in addition to salary.
Please note that the range listed is for someone based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
