We’re seeking a Staff /Senior Backend Engineer to join our new Quant Engineering Squad. This key role will bridge the gap between Quant Analysts and engineering practices, driving the implementation of production-grade models while ensuring maintainability, scalability, and reliability.
What We're Looking For:
Staff+ level engineering experience with knowledge of similar systems
Background in converting statistical models into production-grade code
Experience building robust architecture, testing frameworks, and monitoring solutions
Proven ability to collaborate with analysts and product stakeholders
Experience establishing engineering best practices and standards
Bonus Points For:
Background in sports betting, pricing models, or quantitative finance
Experience building reusable frameworks and model templates
Knowledge of automated testing and validation frameworks
Expertise in machine learning and AI applications
What You'll Do:
Lead initial assessment, project evaluation, and roadmap planning
Design technical implementation plans and collaborate with product management
Transform the collaboration model between Quant Analysts and Engineers
Implement effective engineering mentorship and processes for code production
Build necessary scaling tools and improve front-facing architecture
Ensure aligned interfaces across tribes that utilize our pricing models
Mentor and grow other engineer
